NSC "IECVM" - the first in Ukraine a specialized research institution created for solving scientific and practical tasks of veterinary animal.

Institute was founded in 1923 on the base of the Central bacteriological station as “Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Practical Veterinary Medicine”. Today National Scientific Center “Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine” is the main research institution for veterinary medicine in the system of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and veterinary departments of the institutions of higher education of Ukraine, which organizes and coordinates fulfillment of a number of State programs, concerning scientific support of veterinary branch. Research activity, fundamental investigations, manufacturing application of innovations, results of the fundamental and applied investigations in the form of practical propositions, recommendations, instructions and preparations are directed on the successful control of farm and domestic animals diseases and obtaining of ecologically safe and qualitative products of animal origin.
